Publisher's summary
A series of grave robberies in the 1920s go unsolved until reporter Michael Jacobs follows a new thread. His investigation leads him to a small town in the suburbs of Chicago named Elk Hills. While there, he finds out more haunting information than the police ever discovered. But with each interview bringing him closer to the truth, he finds himself becoming a part of the story he was looking to write.
At the same time, wealthy businessman Edmund Creighton organizes a group of equally wealthy families and individuals in the Chicago area to finance illegal experiments in the basement of his mansion. These experiments require the presence of recently dead bodies which the members of the secret society are more than happy to acquire. But by the time these dark secrets are uncovered, it may be too late for Michael, or the truth, to make any difference.
Contains mature themes.

It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. Story
In The Worst of You, just-wed architects Timo and Nia flee a murder scene, setting in motion a chain reaction of lies and betrayals that threaten to unravel everything they have built together. Twisted and propulsive, this thriller is told from the alternating perspectives of the couple and those close to them on Williwaw Island, each with their own motive to use the outcome of the murder case to their advantage. When a huge storm sweeps up the coast, trapping everyone on tiny Williwaw Island, it’s a race against time—and the elements — to stop the murderer from striking again.

Story
Evan has spent the last decade trying to forget senior year—the panic when Faith Flynn disappeared, the lies she told the police, the secrets she still plans to take to her grave. After graduation, she couldn't move away fast enough, but divorce has forced her back to her dreary hometown. As if living with her parents at almost thirty isn't punishment enough, she's welcomed home with messages from Faith. Or, at least, someone claiming to be her. Fiona has been receiving similar messages from Faith, her twin, the one everyone believes she murdered in cold blood.

Valerie just arrived at Doctor’s hidden utopia for what was supposed to be a weekend of wellness. A weekend of eating fruits straight from the farm. Of screaming hula hoop yoga and dynamic meditation to expel toxins Valerie knew were holding her back. A retreat where she’d attain the energy needed to return home and set new personal records at the gym. To land her dream job.
