Jeffrey Kuhlman, MD, MPH
White House Physician for 16 years, and Physician to President Obama 2009-2013
Dr. Mark Richards' fascinating and fully referenced book shines a spotlight on how unbalanced hormone activity caused by our exposure to powerful Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals has created the chronic diseases that are destroying us. This book contains urgently needed education for the public and physicians.
Half of all Americans suffer from at least one chronic disease. These include diabetes, mood disorders, obesity, dementia and cognitive issues, breast cancer, heart disease, strokes, memory and balance problems, thinning bones, frailness of aging, and sexual dysfunction. A simple generic treatment used since 1940 has been shown to dramatically prevent or reverse these diseases by an estimated 50 percent.
What has stopped the education and medical teaching of this treatment? Ninety percent of $1.3 trillion in annual global pharmaceutical revenues derives from drugs prescribed to treat but not cure or prevent chronic diseases. The prevention of chronic diseases is the largest single threat to healthcare corporations’ and pharmaceutical industry revenues. Billions of dollars are spent annually to keep us dependent upon drugs used to treat, but not to cure or prevent, chronic illnesses.
Chronic Diseases Including Cancers are Very Common
Approximately half of all Americans suffer from at least one chronic disease. Chronic diseases are responsible for seven out of 10 deaths in the U.S., killing more than 1.7 million Americans each year. Over 80 percent of the $2 trillion spent on US healthcare annually goes to pay for chronic diseases, including 96 cents of every dollar paid by Medicare. The worldwide blanket of Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs), mostly from plastics, has led to devastating increases in chronic diseases
It is testosterone and estrogen imbalances from EDC exposures that are at the heart of most chronic diseases and some cancers. Testosterone is not only the most abundant bioactive hormone in both sexes, but also the most powerful regulator of inflammation as well as metabolic, vascular, and neurologic functioning. Testosterone serves as the source of all the estrogen inside our cells. Environmental EDC caused hormone disruption is the leading reversible cause of chronic illnesses worldwide.
About the Author
Mark Richards served for years as a physician consultant to the White House and in leadership positions for national and regional medical and surgical societies. This Yale educated scientist’s extensive research into our sickening populace began after he noticed that something unexplained, yet potentially treatable, was taking a heavy toll on human health.
Dr. Richards has provided expert testimony to the FDA and lectured to physicians internationally about the global testosterone deficiency and the proven lifesaving properties of generic hormone balancing pellet treatment. He has instructed numerous physicians in the abundance of clinical and biochemical science studies behind testosterone treatment. This included teaching physicians treating injured SEAL Team members on how to facilitate their patients’ recovery by reversing the severe testosterone deficiency caused by prescribed opioids.
