Story
Emma is the one that got away. The only survivor of a serial killer known in the tabloids as “The Hairdresser”, because of the trophies he takes from his victims. The police aren't convinced. Nor is her husband. She never actually saw her tormentor properly, but now she recognizes him in every man she sees. Haunted by the horrifying incident and unwanted notoriety, Emma gives up her job as a psychiatrist and retreats from the outside world to recuperate at home, where it’s quiet. Where she can be anonymous and safe. Where no one can hurt her.

Story
My husband and I are fighting for our lives in hospital after a terrible car accident. But despite my pain, all I can think about is what our families will find behind our front door. The scarf that has been all over the news, belonging to a dead young woman with honey-coloured hair. I have to speak to the police before my husband can. I’m drifting in and out of consciousness, but when I hear my wife talking to the police, accusing me of the murder of an innocent woman, a cold fear grips me. I know I’ve got a temper.

Love the Alan Gregory series
What did you love best about Privileged Information?
It was well plotted and thought out. Not an easy one to figure out.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
It did, I kept waiting for the clue that would help figure out what was going on!
Which character – as performed by Dick Hill – was your favorite?
Dick Hill is one of my favorite narrators. He does the perfect Alan Gregory
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Suspense to the end!!

Decent Mystery
This was my first book by this author. The main character was more interesting than the story. Still trying to decide if I will get another by White.

Great Series start
Very solid start to what looks to be a good series. Main character’s dilemma of confidentiality was very well developed. My only qualm was the narration. Most of the female characters were made to sound like they were from Long Island, not Colorado

As ALWAYS, this book was super suspenseful!
This book kept me on the edge of my seat and it was amazing as this series usually is. I love Dick Hill's voice! He does them flawlessly. This book was read (listened to) really fast because it was hard for me to put it down!

Psychological Thriller. . . and More!
Great story! This one will boggle the mind in the beginning. . . I kept wondering where it was leading me, even though I found it very engaging and couldn't stop listening. Stephen White was leading me to an incredible climactic ending that left me shaking my head about the nature of "privileged information" that doctors, psychologists and lawyers legally protect. This is an informative story that has all the great characteristics of a thrilling crime mystery. True, you have to like Dick Hill to get through it, but I tend to like him more than not, so it was okay by me.
A good book! Gets my recommendation for those who enjoy crime thrillers.

A great series!
Ive read this series once before. I started when I was about 15 and the series finally ended about 15 years after that and Ive decided to read it again. This was just a complete chance I took trying to find something to occupy myself while waiting for books I had been on the Waitlist for and it changed my reading habits! #suspenseful #modernworkplace #Colorado #tagsgiving #sweepstakes
