Yes, yes I am raising my grandson

I find this book wholly relatable as yes my wife and I are raising our grandchild. Not do to the death of a child (parent) not do to some tragedy befalling the parents rendering them incapable of caring for the little one. And not because the parents in their wisdom and love for the child turned him over to us to care for him because we are in a better position. Nope. Here because of parental opioid addictions and crappy ass life decisions. Also he’s lived with us since he was born and we’ve had custody since Shortly thereafter. Consequently there are aspects of this book that we don’t relate to. That being said there are many sorts that we do relate to and many things talked about that we will have to deal with down the road and will have to face head on in the future. There is also a wealth of information regarding networks of support and statistics for grandparents raising grandkids. A must read for said grandparents or for any who would like to know some of what these heroes are going through when they do the right thing by those who can’t do for themselves. I’m living it, I recommend you read it. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher
