Publisher's summary
In her first collection of poetry, Lili Reinhart explores the euphoric beginnings of young love, battling anxiety and depression in the face of fame, and the inevitable heartbreak that stems from passion. Relatable yet deeply intimate, provocative yet comforting, bite-size yet profound, these beautiful poems are about growing up, falling down and getting back up again.
They capture what it feels like to be a young woman in today’s image-obsessed world with Lili’s trademark honesty, optimism and unique perspective. The poems in Swimming Lessons reveal the depths of female experience and are the work of a storyteller who is coming into her own.
Critic reviews
"Reinhart is committed to authenticity...and candid about her battles with anxiety and depression." (Harpers Bazaar)
"There's a reason her fans feel they know her. She's been outspoken on various platforms about deeply personal topics." (Glamour)
"Reinhart is a force to be reckoned with." (Who What Wear)

Story
It’s the summer of ’77 in New York City, and the only thing more unnerving than the scorching heatwave is the rampant murder, leaving washed-up homicide detective Richard Dietrich on edge. When Dietrich investigates a brutal mob hit the brass doesn’t want him to solve, he goes from phoning it in to getting in over his head. Caught up in a mysterious second homicide with an even more perplexing perpetrator, Dietrich starts to second guess his instincts—and his memory—as he searches for answers at the bottom of a bottle.

The 13 chapters of The Art of War, each devoted to one aspect of warfare, were compiled by the high-ranking Chinese military general, strategist, and philosopher Sun-Tzu. In spite of its battlefield specificity, The Art of War has found new life in the modern age, with leaders in fields as wide and far-reaching as world politics, human psychology, and corporate strategy finding valuable insight in its timeworn words.

After their mother passes, three estranged siblings reunite to sort out her estate. Beth, the oldest, never left home. She stayed with her mom, caring for her until the very end. Nicole, the middle child, has been kept at arm’s length due to her ongoing battle with a serious drug addiction. Michael, the youngest, lives out of state and hasn’t been back to their small Wisconsin town since their father ran out on them seven years before. Story
This newer edition of the King James Bible published in 1769 is usually preferred by most that read it over the older 1611 version. This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... We hope your new audio bible will go everywhere with you and be a blessing for years to come.

An emotional confession
I've read some reviews of this book before listening to it myself. It's true that at times the poems don't sound like poems but more like diary entries. But personally for me, poems can be anything as long as the author can make me feel something. Nonetheless, it being read by Lili herself gives it more depth and feeling. The sound of her voice manages make you relate to her, to her experiences and to connect you with your own. I found myself many times in, what I feel like is, her emotional confession, and reminder me that we're never alone in our own intense feelings. She digs deep into her soul which many of us avoid to so most of the times.
Short, yet enough. Simple writing, yet powerful.
