Un clásico actual
Recuperar esta novela de Marsé después de casi 30 años desde mi primera lectura me ha hecho recordar, ahora con más criterio, el coste y el esfuerzo de la asimilación que para muchos “xarnegos” ha supuesto ser “catalans”. Y en que muchos Manolos ahora se llaman Mohamed y muchas Marujas, Fátima. La historia se repite y, siempre, con pobres que “quieren ser” y ricos que no saben que ser hasta que no descubren que solo “quieren ser más ricos”.
La interpretación de Jordi Boixaderas es sencillamente espectacular. A la altura de la novela. Los personajes se distinguen claramente, el ritmo es el adecuado, las entonaciones, las pausas.... Un gran descubrimiento con el que 3spero coincidir en otra novela!
