Paris Hilton: As You’ve Never Heard Her Before

***An Instant New York Times Bestseller***

From the woman who is credited for launching what we know as the celebrity focused, “brand” driven, social media obsessed popular culture of today, comes an honest and surprising memoir that reckons with that truth, and shows that there is so much more to Paris Hilton than you might believe.

I was born in New York City on February 17, 1981, three days after Valentine’s Day.

From the time I was a toddler, my brain skipped and flickered with the chemical imbalance of ADHD. Sometimes it was too much.

I’m not bragging or complaining about it, just telling you: This is my brain. It has a lot to do with how this whole book thing is going to play out, because I love run-on sentences—and dashes. And sentence fragments. I’m probably going to jump around a lot while I tell the story.

I came of age during the most turbulent pop culture period ever.

The character I played—part Lucy, part Marilyn—was my steel-plated armor.

People loved her. Or they loved to hate her, which was just as marketable. I leaned into that character, my ticket to financial freedom and a safe place to hide. I made sure I never had a quiet moment to figure out who I was without her. I was afraid of that moment because I didn’t know what I’d find.

I wrote this book in an effort to understand my place in a watershed moment: the technology renaissance, the age of influencers. I also wrote this book so that the world could know who I am today. I focused on key aspects of my life that led to what I am most proud of—how my power was taken away from me and how I took it back, how I built a thriving business, a marriage and a family.

There are so many young women who need to hear this story. I don’t want them to learn from my mistakes; I want them to stop hating themselves for their own mistakes. I want them to laugh and cry and embrace every aspect of who they are with fearlessness and pride. We all have our own brand of intelligence, and, girl, f--k fitting in.

✨Beyond✨

The fact that Paris narrates the memoir makes it that much better! It's incredibly raw and uncensored.
Paris takes you deep into her past and traumas as a teen and young adult. It is definitely a tough listen but it really helps you understand Paris and her life. It is not for anyone, but for true Paris fans it’s a must.

Nostalgic, honest and well written

I found this book insightful, fun, powerful, and surprisingly healing. Coming of age during the same years, stories like these help remind me that being a teenage bad@$$ in the 1990s is its own superpower. It came with a lot of hard lessons, a lot of fun, a lot of trauma, and a lot of emotional baggage. But it was an incredible journey, and we should all be proud to have navigated it and thankful to have experienced it.

Paris - I'm beyond impressed with your ability to paint with words in a way that captures not only your own story, but that of an entire generation. Thank you for being so candid and helping shed light on the fact that trauma knows no social class, the 90s were insane, and that you gotta keep on Sliving, girl! 😉

Bravo, well done.

Oh yeah, and definitely a must-read. Get the book!

An Inspiring and Shocking Delight

I initially had no intention of reading this book as I was never into Paris Hilton or any of the “famous for being famous” types that reality tv and Hollywood have churned out in the early 2000s but here Paris sheds the spoiled brat rich girl image and tells her story with a maturity, wisdom, and intelligence that I did not expect. She’s not only a smart business woman, but an insightful and thoughtful person who has some scars and wounds to share. Take a listen, get to know her better than I did, and remember not to judge a book by its cover

Thank you Pairs

I’m crying writing this. Thank you thank thank you for being so brave to tell your story, to do what is right by all those children still sent to those places. My parents threatened sending me there often growing up. And now knowing the truth behind those places I could never imagine what would’ve come of me. Thank you for being utterly brave

Heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time....

I think any woman, no matter what you've been through, can relate to her story. It doesn't matter your race, background, or financial status...at some point if you've had any type of traumatic event in your life, you can relate to the life altering damage and situations she has been through.... No, she's not perfect, no one is, but she accepts and owns her truth as one does when you reflect on the years when you were young and immature. But I love that she was brave enough to go into detail about her life now that she's on her own healing journey. I myself have been on that journey for yrs now and I know first hand that it's not easy and you have to work really hard to get back to yourself and start healing your heart. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that's been through the struggle of life. It's amazingly comforting to know that you're not alone❤.....

Powerful

I am so glad I decided to listen to this book. Paris you have helped me understand and move on from a sexual predator, a pervert. Thank you for your honesty. I am so happy for you that your met Carter and you have Phoenix. You deserve the world. Your resilience is awe inspiring. This is a lesson that everyone is going through something and you should never judge. Oh and I hope karma bites that Judge.

Authentic and captivating

I loved this book. I was shocked at the life Paris has lived and how authentic she is. I never in a million years would have imagined the horror she has lived through. This book shows how intelligent and resilient she is. I loved it and will read it again!
