Born amidst the vibrant landscapes of Jamaica, West Indies, Patrice M. Foster and her five siblings faced a harsh reality. Their parents, in pursuit of the elusive American dream, abandoned them, leaving the children to navigate the cold and uncaring world of foster care. In these homes, they were met not with love, but with neglect and abuse. Years passed, and a long-awaited reunion with their mother fell devastatingly short of their hopes. Desperate for refuge, Patrice fled to her father, only to be met with further rejection. After one misstep, he locked her out, and she found herself homeless, surviving the dangerous streets alone. Amidst the chaos, Patrice discovered a beacon of hope through education. Defying the odds, the once-broken girl from the streets transformed her life, becoming an LPN, then an RN, and finally earning a BSN from Immaculata University. Today, Patrice continues to serve as a nurse, channeling her past struggles into a profound commitment to healing. Her journey is a powerful testament to the strength of the human spirit, offering hope and inspiration to those who face their own battles.
