Publisher's summary

"I'm not your savior."

I didn't want to be worshiped like some deity—an instant replacement for the asuras. For so long, these people looked up to the asuras as gods, but the asuras kept trying to kill them.

Arthur Leywin has finally returned to the continent of Dicathen, but his home is still firmly in the hands of the enemy. His display of unprecedented power brings hope to his allies and fear to his enemies. It also deeply embroils him in a conflict between the godlike asuras, with Agrona Vritra on one side and Kezess Indrath on the other.

With the crimes of his past life haunting him in the form of the Legacy, Arthur can no longer afford to hone only his strength. He must also empower those closest to him or risk losing them all.

I really hate how you fall in love with a series and the narrator and its wonderful. then they go an add another narrator and change everything. I really wish they had just left everything alone. good book still love the series Hate they did a duo

Please let Travis handle the whole series

changing narrators per chapter and the monotone female voicing made me skip many chapters..

I didn’t like the double casting should’ve just stick to the original

It was a good listen should just stick to the original reader. Didn’t like the new reader, that much not used to the new voices.

Why why WHY add another narrator and screw everything up?!?!

You’ve got a bunch of fans who have made it through nine books and dozens of hours of listening- clearly we like it the way it is. Why ruin it by adding another voice and narrating half the book with somebody else. Travis was fine with female voices. Now every female voice is whiny and high-pitched (even these amazing female warriors. ) and everything that is narrated or conversations with the male characters are also.besides it being annoying (she can NOT pitch low for make as well as Travis could do female).—it’s also confusing. Yay, so your females are narrated by females. But now every time they have a conversation with another character, THAT voice is now WRONG. And every time one of the male characters talk to a female, HER voice is wrong. Effect: everyone has 2 voices.

WHY DO THEY DO THIS?!? Mess with a good thing. I used to listen at less than one speed in order to make it last longer — now half of the book I listen to at 1.75 just to get through her annoying voice faster.
Because, of course, there continues to be an ever expanding number of other character POVs
Even if I didn’t find the voices themselves annoying, they’re still different now. They don’t sound right and have accents now they didn’t have before. It just sounds WRONG.
Go back to the way that it was—we all spent a lot of time and a lot of money enjoying it before.

I'm liking it.

The narration isn't as bad as the reviews make it sound. Maybe I'm just a casual or something, but the girls voice didn't "break the immersion" for me. Maybe it happens later on as I'm only a few hours in, but I'm enjoying it so far.

Why two narrators now?

As always, I love the writing and the story. Travis does an amazing job narrating, but I don’t know why they would add a second narrator. The characters already have a voice and I don’t want to have to identify two different voices for the same characters now. It’s absurd. I would love to see a re-release with just Travis as it should be. Having the lady reading really takes us out of the story and makes it harder to follow and enjoy.
